Farmers Market Deventer
Monthly: On the last Sunday, 10:00 – 15:00
Ends 25 October 2026
With our Bakery and Café de BROOD.revolutie, we want to show that our food system can be different. Less anonymous, fairer, more local, and with more connection between the people who make food and the people who eat it.
With BROOD. & Koffie, we come a long way, but we have long dreamed of something that can make even more of an impact. And we can’t do that alone. We are going to organize a real Organic Farmers Market on the small square opposite our bakery. With (as many as possible) organic farmers and producers from our area. On every last Sunday of the month, from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM, you can do all your shopping there!
The very first edition is on August 30th!! We envision a market where everyone also gets to know the stories behind the food. Where producers come into direct contact with the end user, where there is room for questions, tasting, meeting, and inspiration. A place where local, organic, and seasonal food is the norm and where trust and community once again play a greater role in our food system.
In addition, we hope that the market means something to us as producers among ourselves. A place where we can get to know each other better, exchange experiences and knowledge, inspire one another, and perhaps even forge new collaborations. For if we manage to find and support each other, we can achieve much more together than individually. During our travels, we have seen these types of Farmers Markets in various locations. What struck us was the amount of energy, connection, and loyalty they generate – for visitors and for the producers alike. We wish that for Deventer as well.
We hope that together we can create something very beautiful!

3 weeks agoKoffiedok is a nice place with beautiful decor, but our visit was a bit disappointing because we were there during the Farmers Market. There were long waiting times (30 minutes) and the treats to go with the coffee were already sold out. The market itself had few exhibitors. We would like to try again on a normal day, as the location is otherwise very nice.
